      FROSTBITE

She's drivin' crazy, tryin' to get out of town
It doesn't matter where she's goin' right now
Steam on her windows, her blood's runnin' hot
He was cold and heartless, never thought he'd get caught

     She's got frostbite
His love was cold enough to burn
One look into her icy eyes confirms
     She's got frostbite
     She's afraid of being touched
Now that she's realized love can hurt so much

Hunger stops her, she wipes the tears from her face
Walks into the diner and pretends she's okay
But when a stranger crosses the room
She cuts him down, it's much too soon

     She's got frostbite
His love was cold enough to burn
One look into her icy eyes confirms
     She's got frostbite
     She's afraid of being touched
Now that she's realized love can hurt so much

Love is a fire you can't control
          And where there's smoke you'd think there's a flame
But there's a cloud that comes from dry ice
It looks familiar, but it's not the same

     She's got frostbite
His love was cold enough to burn
One look into her icy eyes confirms
     She's got frostbite
     She's afraid of being touched
Now that she's realized love can hurt so much

     She's got frostbite
     She's got frostbite
     She's got frostbite

Notes

We wrote this song at Pam's place in West Nashville.
Pam writes on her Acoustic Piano and likes to get songs
into an atmosphere.  It was very much a co-write, and
I can't remember too clearly (it's been a while ago), but
I think that we just started talking and noodling and
this song came about . . . with a couple re-writes.
